Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance - Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!: by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith : Because we all know that that's what was really missing from
Pride and Prejudice all along -- zombies! I actually cannot make up my mind if I'm going to read this. I kind of like the idea of it. Maybe I'd be sure if it were vampires, I don't know. I'm not that big into zombies.
I'm looking forward to this book's release!
ReplyDeleteJust the idea of it is wonderful! I don't know how someone came up with the idea of combining Jane Austen and zombies.
ReplyDeleteThis does not sound like something I'd enjoy at all! ;) However, I see you're reading The Likeness. Whoohooo! What a great book. I just posted my review here. Hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. It's my first 5/5 this year!
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Likeness -- I loved it! Maybe more than In the Woods.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely not an Austen purist but the sound of this book is quite frankly, weird! I may have to take a peek at it in the bookshop - I cannot imagine how it could be done :-0
ReplyDeleteIt is totally weird! I cannot imagine what made someone think, "Humh -- I should combine Austen and zombies -- that would make the perfect novel!"
ReplyDeleteI think this looks hysterical - I'm hoping someone gives it to me for my birthday. If not, I'm just going to go buy it.
ReplyDeleteI just finished this book and really, I loved it. If you don't mind a little zombie killing or brain eating, you'll enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteAt least it's completely written in the same Jane Austen style - even with dismemberment, it's done tastefully. And you still want Elizabeth and Darcy to get together in the end, but will they? I kept wondering if the zombies would get her, just to make it a bit different.
Totally recommend it!
