Neil Gaiman

Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman: So what would you do if you were Charles Nancy -- you've grown up being embarrassed by your father all your life then he dies and you discover he was a god? And worse, you discover you have a brother who inherited your father's god powers? Then to top all that, your god brother comes to visit and disrupts your life by going out with your fiancee (pretending to be you) and getting you in trouble at work by pretending he's you. Everyone believes he's you even though he doesn't look like you but he uses his god voice to say that he is. You'd want to get rid of him -- right? Right. That's what Charlie foolishly attempts to do in this funny new novel by Neil Gaiman, author of American Gods and the graphic novel, The Sandman. The plot is not as dense as American Gods, and Anansi Boys is more accessible because of this. It's worthwhile and funny reading.
