Weird Questions at the Library

I'm working tonight and I've had some weird questions so far, only an hour into my shift. Is it a full moon?
  1. Do you have any free coffee? Answer: No -- we don't even have coffee you can pay for. (Answer that makes us all sad, since when this building was being planned, all the library staff argued for a cafe in the library.)
  2. Do you have any peppermints? Answer: No. (Thought to myself, "Why are you asking me this? Is your throat bothering you?")

Apparently our students are hungry and thirsty tonight, or else they are unable to stay awake and they are coughing and need something to calm their throats down.

This reminds me of the time I found an empty bottle of Cialis on one of our comfy chairs as I was closing up our small public library!

HA! That made me laugh! You find weird things in a public library sometimes. We found out that someone had filmed a soft core porn film in our library one year. It wasn't very long but still!

Our library has opened a cafe and it's VERY nice. We often frequent the library so it's a nice little bonus.

The food service that the university contracts with didn't want any competitors and wanted to charge us too much, so the students lost out and so did we.
