The Book

Good thing I liked the book because apparently this is me. I changed one answer to one question and became another Garcia Marquez novel -- Love in the Time of Cholera. So no matter what I say I'm Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

You're One Hundred Years of Solitude!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Lonely and struggling, you've been around for a very long time.
Conflict has filled most of your life and torn apart nearly everyone you know. Yet there
is something majestic and even epic about your presence in the world. You love life all
the more for having seen its decimation. After all, it takes a village.

Hi Katya, Dixie sent me over to say hello. I have just recently moved to Ocean Springs, MS just down the street from you. I am enjoying reading your book reviews. I am currently reading The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards. We have a little online bookclub going on with our blogs. I am off to take the book quiz now. Just wanted to say a quick hello.

Oh -- you really are right down the street! I've been through Ocean Springs on the way to New Orleans several times. I used to go on that highway instead of taking 10.

Oooh. I like the sound of this quiz. I'm off to take it and I'll be back to let you know what it reckons!

I am apparently William Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury - which means apparently "Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips
with a major crisis in your life. You can see many different perspectives on the issue,
but you're mostly overwhelmed with despair at what you've lost. People often have a hard
time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant
anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing."

What do you think about tht last sentence? Bit of a stab in the chest or what?

That last sentence is just not right! It's certainly a stab in the chest.
