I'm not going to say much about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows except to mention that I enjoyed it. Anything else would give too much of the plot away. I think that of all the Harry Potter books, this one is my favorite, and J. K. Rowling wrapped the series up in quite an acceptable way.
The week it came out, I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Given that OotP is my least favorite Harry Potter book, I expected to dislike the movie as much as I'd disliked the book. Surprisingly, I didn't. I guess because they shortened the movie so much, they had to leave out all the things that made the book tedious for me. It still wasn't my favorite Harry Potter movie -- that's a tie between The Prisoner of Azkhaban and The Goblet of Fire -- but it wasn't bad.

Goblet of Fire is my favorite of the books, the movies are just so-so for me, but I still wait in line at midnight to see them. I am a little sad that the series is over, but then I remember my four year old and know that I will get to experience the whole thing again.
I know what you mean about being sad the series is over. I am too but I'm glad that she wrapped it up in a way I could live with.
I was also sorry to see the series end since I really liked the characters, but the ending was very satisfying.
