I have wanted a laptop for a very long time, and today I got one! It's not a new one but it's new for me and I like sitting in my bed typing this. Especially since right now, I've got a ferocious headache. I don't want to go to bed but my head hurts too much to read.
I finally finished The Historian. This is the kind of book I like; it's set in the academic world and it involves vampires and librarians! Vampire stories have had an appeal for me since I was small and later when I learned about Vlad Tepes, he became a figure of interest for me as well. So I enjoyed The Historian; it was a well-written novel with fully developed characters and a compelling plot. The author could have used some editing as the story was over long; not every scene was necessary. But overall, I liked this book. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wasn't willing to devote some time to it though. I'm a fast reader and this book took me several weeks to read.

Have you read AS Byatt's Possession?
Yes -- I love that book. Except I was disturbed when he stole from the British Library.
